Buying and renewing
Cloud and Private dedicated hosting are bought through the Archboard billing portal. Your purchase sets your district’s subscription dates and the number of schools it is licensed for. This page covers buying, renewing, adding schools, and what happens if a subscription lapses.
Who this is for
Section titled “Who this is for”District administrators and purchasers. Self-hosted installs are free and need no purchase.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”| Tier | Price per year (USD) |
|---|---|
| Cloud | $400 + $150 per school, up to $4,000 for a district. A single school pays $450. |
| Private dedicated | $880 + $150 per school, up to $4,480 for a district. A single school pays $930. |
Cloud servers are shared, so the cost of running them for each district goes down as more districts join. As that happens, Archboard will lower Cloud prices.
Private dedicated is the Cloud price plus $480 a year for your district’s own server. That covers what the server costs Archboard plus payment processing fees. The rest of the price pays for the same managed service as Cloud: updates, backups, monitoring and support.
See Choosing hosting for what each tier includes.
Buy hosting
Section titled “Buy hosting”- Go to the billing portal.
- Buy Cloud or Private dedicated hosting for the number of schools you need.
- After your purchase, Archboard creates your district with its own address, a district code, your school limit and your subscription dates.
- Use the setup and plugin links you receive to connect PowerSchool and create your first admin. See Setup links.
Subscriptions renew automatically for another year at your current school count. 30 days before your subscription expires, Archboard emails your billing contacts the renewal invoice, due around your expiry date. That gives your district time to attach a purchase order before the new year starts. Your data, address and settings stay the same.
To change your school count or stop the renewal, manage the subscription in the billing portal before your expiry date. If you cancel before the new year starts, the renewal invoice is voided and you keep using Tidal PTC until your current expiry date.
If you renew for fewer schools than you have active, staff are locked out until you deactivate the extras. See School limits.
Add schools
Section titled “Add schools”To use more schools than your license covers, buy more school licenses through the billing portal. When your district is over its limit, district admins may also see a Request more licenses link on the At full capacity page. Once the new limit is in place, activate the schools in Tenant settings.
If an invoice isn’t paid
Section titled “If an invoice isn’t paid”Invoices are due 30 days after they’re sent, and your district keeps using Tidal PTC while you pay. If an invoice for your subscription is still unpaid on its due date, a 10-day grace period starts. Your district keeps working normally during the grace period.
Archboard emails your billing contacts a reminder:
- 7 days and 3 days before the due date
- The day after the due date, when the grace period starts
- 3 days before the grace period ends
If the invoice still isn’t paid when the grace period ends, the subscription expires, the invoice is voided and your district is deleted (see below). The subscription won’t expire while an ACH or bank transfer payment is still settling. To use Tidal PTC again after an expiry, place a new order in the billing portal.
