Requesting a translator
If you would like help with language during a conference, you can ask for a translator when you book. The school then arranges a translator for the language you chose.
Who this is for
Section titled “Who this is for”Parents and guardians who would like a translator at their conference.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Your school must offer translators. If it does not, you will not see the Translator choice when booking.
- The school decides which languages it offers. Only those languages appear in the list.
- Some times may not allow translator requests. The Translator choice only appears for times that do.
Ask for a translator
Section titled “Ask for a translator”- Start booking a conference and pick a time.
- Under Translator (“Request a translator for this conference.”), choose your language. Leave it on No translator needed if you do not need one.
- Finish your booking with Book conference.

If no translator is available
Section titled “If no translator is available”Schools have a limited number of translators. You may see one of these messages:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| “No more translator requests are available for this language.” | The school has reached its limit for that language. Contact the school. |
| “No translator is available for this language at that time.” | Every translator for that language is busy at that time. Pick a different time. |
